Herstory: Writing and Researching the Historical Novel

Thinking of writing a historical novel, but daunted by the research? Come join us at our November 4, 2017 meeting. Author Linda McLaughlin will discuss the pleasures and pitfalls of historical research and why historical romance still matters in the 21st century.

About our Presenter

Linda McLaughlin grew up with a love of history fostered by her paternal grandmother and an incurable case of wanderlust inherited from her father. A native of Pittsburgh, she now lives in Southern California. A long-time member of OCCRWA, Linda writes historical and Regency romance, and pens steamy romance under the name Lyndi Lamont. Her first published novel was Worth The Risk, contemporary romance written in collaboration with Anne Farrell under the name Lyn O’Farrell.
